Why Author Resolver?
A low-cost way to add value - Author Resolver enriches your collections by giving users not just citations with authors' names, but also meaningful information about the scholars behind your publications. Author Resolver even adds value for your authors by highlighting their current professional activity.
Universal - Works with any collection database with discrete author names.
Easy to implement - Web-based APIs make deployment simple and seamless.
How does it work?
Author Resolver makes it easy for your users to retrieve current professional information about authors.
- From a citation or publication record, the author names are hyperlinked to search for profiles.
The user then clicks on an author's name, and a list of possible matches is returned, each ranked by level of confidence.
The user then selects which profile to view, accessing a concise snapshot of an author's affiliation and recent publications.
Broad coverage and reliable data
Author Resolver profile information is drawn from COS Scholar Universe, our editorially controlled, highly accurate database of more than 3 million profiles of full-time faculty researchers in 2,900 universities and 79 countries.
